We are an association of Historical re-enactment based in France (Burgundy) and we represent :
- the Thirty Years’ War, 1618-1648.
Our association is called « Company La Courbière », relating to a
noble from the Free County of Burgundy (Kingdom of Spain), who created a company of foot-soldiers to resist against the French invasion.
Moreover, we represent the Old Tercio of Burgundy, commanded by the Count of Saint-Amour:
We also represent other periods, of French History :
- Regiment of « Aunis », under the Reign of Louis the XIVth : the
Conquest of Spanish Burgundy (1668-1674), and the Nine Years’ War
(1688-1697), and the War of the Spanish Succession (1701-1714):
- Regiment « Royal Comtois » during the Seven Years’ War (1756-1763):
- Regiment « Royal Soissonnois » during the American Revolutionary War (the French Army of the Marquis de La Fayette, 1780-1783):
- In process : The soldiers of Charles the Bold, Duc of Burgundy, 1476.
- Occasionnaly : The period of the Second Empire and Franco-Prussian War of 1870-1871.
For all these periods, it’s possible to ask for advise, patterns for the creation of uniforms, etc.
